Opening reception:
5 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 10
We think that we shall never see a motif as lovely as a tree.
Trees reach for the sky and have wonderful shapes. They provide wood, fruit,
nuts and shade and offer trunks for carving initials. They also serve a vital
function in the environment. We pine for artists from all over the country to
join us in exalting the glories of trees in this, our first national juried
exhibition.

2006 Museum Shows
2006 Contemporary American Realism show.
This juried showcase celebrates artistic excellence in America. The 2006
Biennial is a national exhibition that focuses on the laudable and timeless
approach to the subject: REALISM. Works by five recognized contemporary masters
of realism will anchor this exhibition: Janet Fish, Martin Grelle, Woody Gwyn,
Alan Magee and Jeremiah Patterson. Works by approximately sixty additional
contemporary American realists will be selected from a field of hundreds to hang
beside them. Peter Tatistcheff, well-known owner and art gallery director, will
award cash prizes at the preview Friday, June 9.
